What trenchless actually means
Trenchless methods repair or replace a sewer line without digging a continuous trench along its whole length. There are two main approaches. Pipe lining (cured-in-place pipe) pulls a resin-saturated liner through the existing pipe and cures it into a new pipe inside the old one. Pipe bursting pulls a new pipe through the path of the old one while breaking the old pipe outward, using just two access pits at the ends.
