Third Pinhole Leak This Year? When to Stop Patching and Repipe

One leak is bad luck. A pattern of them is your plumbing telling you something. Here is how to know when patching stops making sense and a repipe does.

One leak is an event; a pattern is a message

A single leak is usually just a leak, a bad fitting, a spot of damage, fix it and move on. But when a house starts producing leaks on a schedule, a pinhole in the copper this spring, another down the hall in summer, a weep at a joint in the fall, that is no longer a series of coincidences. What is actually failing: galvanized and old copper
